Emerge SS 2 passenger model comes with several factory options including 12" polished aluminum wheels, low profile tires, 400 amp controller for more power, custom bolstered seat, wood grain cup holder and wood grain & leather steering wheel, automotive glass windshield, custom graphics, and clear LED tail lights.

E-Merge 4 Passenger (Shown With Optional Rear Facing Seat Making It a 6 Passenger). All Colors And Accessories Mentioned Above For the 2 Passenger Models Are Also Available For the 4 or 6 Passenger Model. It Is Also Available In The SS Model With Factory Options Installed. Daufuskie Island

All of Daufuskie Island public roads are secondary and have speed limits of 35 MPH and less. Most of the electric (and some gas golf cars) operating on County roads on Daufuskie are currently operating under the SC Golf Cart Law which does not allow for travel more than 2 miles from your home or business and cannot be driven after dark.

A word of caution......to operate a golf cart on public roads you must be the licensed driver on file with DMV for your permit. So either you can be registered as the license driver of your golf cart, have the permit and use it on County roads within 2 miles of your home or business or you can register a street legal golf car like ours and your insurance should cover anyone who drives it since you will now be operating a licensed "low speed vehicle"

The SC Golf Cart Law is quoted here........Golf cart permits are available at any SCDMV branch office. The permit allows a licensed driver to operate a golf cart during daylight hours on a secondary highway or street within two miles of his residence or place of business.

To obtain a golf cart permit, you must:
· Provide proof of insurance for the golf cart
· Provide the driver license number of any licensed driver who will operate the golf cart
· Submit a fee of $5.00.

Hilton Head Areas

Below you will find maps showing where you can legally drive a NEV (neighborhood electric vehicle) on secondary roads with speed limits 35 mph and less on Hilton Head Island. We also show where they could be driven within the gated communities.

South End Of Hilton Head

All of the public roads South of the light at Wexford Village with the exception of Hwy 278 are secondary roads which have a speed limit of 35 MPH and less. You can travel from Palmetto Bay marina and Point Comfort to North and South Forest Beach using our vehicles on Arrow Road, New Orleans Rod, Greenwood Drive, Pope Avenue, North and South Forest Beach Drives.




Shipyard Plantation, Wexford, Sea Pines Plantation and Long Cove.

Private communities on the South End of Hilton Head could have access in their respective communites and would have access to all of the commercial areas between Palmetto Bay marina and North and South Forest Beach.



Shelter Cove Marina Area, Palmetto Dunes and Lemington Areas

Shelter Cove Marina area and Palmetto Dunes. Palmetto Dunes and Lemington residents could access their communitites and all of the areas around Shelter Cove Marina, Shelter Cove Mall and Shelter Cove Shopping Center.



Folly Beach, Matthews Drive and Main Street can all be accessed on secondary roads which have a speed limit of 35 MPH or less.



Port Royal Plantation residents could access all the areas in the community Currently checking the access off Dillon Road to commercial areas.






Palmetto Hall, Hilton Head Plantation and Indigo Run could all access areas within their communities and all the commercial areas of Main Street, The Festival Center and Mathews Drive.








More Hilton Head Areas To Be Posted Soon

Neighborhoods and Communities in the Bluffton area that have 35 MPH and less speed limits and secondary roads that comply with low speed vehicle laws

Below are many of the neighborhoods and communities that seem to be suitable for the use of Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEV's) in the Bluffton Area.


Moss Creek Plantation - Can access the community and access the Moss Creek Village commercial center just outside the gate, and cross Hwy 278 to access the Buckingham Plantation Drive area including Bridge Center and Old South Golf Links.

Collenton River Plantation - Can access the community, cross Hwy 278 and access the commercial area of Lowes and the other shopping areas.

Belfair Plantation - Can access the community access the Belfair Town Center and cross Hwy 278 to access two commercial areas.

Rose Hill Plantation - Can access both the golf course community and the equestrian areas within the community.

Sun City And Riverbend Area - Can access all of their communities as well as the upcoming major mall and commercial areas behind Okatie Center. There is no 2 mile limitation on our cars such as under the SC golf cart law and our cars can be driven after dark.
